EUROENERGY MRT Electric Boilers for installations in individual and central heating.
In Electric Boilers the models up to EUROENERGY MRT 10KW can be supplied with single-phase and three-phase voltage while the other boilers (10-30KW are supplied only with three-phase voltage. The electric boilers MRT are with three levels of management, include:
- expansion vessel
- circulator
- Water filter
- Safety valve
- water level sensor on the boiler body
- manometer
- Cradle
This series of electric boiler can work with a simple on / off thermostat, or with its own cooperating thermostat which is not included.
Its operation is based on the ability to control 3 stages. Which means that the transition of the increase or the reduction of the power to 3 stages takes place gradually. It is connected to any type of thermostat, from which we simply regulate the desired temperature as we do in all conventional heating systems.
…. FREQUENT QUESTIONS
1) In single-phase models, what security should the house have for each model?
It is a given that the power of the fuses, which has the meter of each house, must always be checked, whether the model is three-phase or single-phase. Therefore, I quote in the attached file a brochure which includes the table with the technical data of the fuses according to the validity of each model. In addition, as you already know very well, in addition to safety, the diameter of the wiring should also be checked.
2) Production of water for use. What do we need to know to choose the right models with this feature?
As a company we have the ability to provide you with models of boilers with production of hot water, which are available only at 24 and 30kW. In smaller models it is not possible to produce hot water because the ratio of primary and secondary water in the heat exchanger is not satisfied. Our proposal is to achieve "cooperation", where possible, of the electric boiler with dual energy boiler. In this way we achieve the production of hot water in the winter months through the boiler (from the moment that the installation of the radiator works anyway). And in the summer we can have hot water for use through the water heater (resistance power 3.5Kw) resulting in low power consumption.
3) Models with microprocessor do not accept a thermostat (6M-30M); is the indoor sensor necessary?
The available M models are not capable of an internal room thermostat because their operation is harmonized with the ambient temperature through the external sensor. That is, the temperature that we will have in each house will have a constant value always according to the change of the outside temperature. The whole operation is similar to the operation of the electronic weather compensation control. Therefore the control of the specific model is necessarily done through the external sensor and we also have the possibility of control through the weekly thermostat that the electric boiler has.
4) What are the recommended operating temperatures?
The way of selecting suitable operating temperatures in electric boilers is exactly the same as the way of calculating the temperature in oil boilers or gas units. Of course, as in other boilers we must be careful that the operating temperature does not exceed 85 οC. It is easily understood that the lower we operate the electric boiler, the more energy savings we will have. For this reason, the M model is superior to the MRT because the base of the external sensor constantly changes the operating temperature of the water in the installation to the lowest possible level so that the space is kept at the temperature levels we have chosen and the energy consumption is maintained at low levels.
5) Is it necessary to install a device to avoid the formation of salts?
It is not necessary to install a desalination device as the entire operation of the electric boiler is carried out in a closed installation circuit. So as in oil or gas boilers in these boilers the deposition of salts that will be created on the resistors will be as much as the volume of water provided by the specific installation. It is not correct to confuse the phenomenon of scale deposition in electric boiler systems with the same phenomenon that occurs in electric water heaters, washing machines, etc. because there we have an open circuit (ie running water).
6) Does a boiler need maintenance? What process should one follow and when?
Due to the non-production of combustion residues, electric boilers do not need the necessary maintenance that we had to perform in case of using an oil or gas boiler. What is needed is a repeated precautionary check of all insurance provisions every 18 months.
7) Do they need an increase in their sizing?
The choice of model should not be made in increments as was done with traditional boilers. In electric boilers we have the advantage that the percentage of power produced and delivered is the same, ie its efficiency reaches 100%. Therefore we do not have the differences that occur in traditional oil or gas boilers or solid fuels due to the difference between the power produced and the output power from combustion. Also here we would like to add that we may need to put a lower power model as the installation and placement of the bodies so far was done with oversizing. This was because in traditional boilers the operation of the installation was intermittent, ie we observed that the bodies some for some time were charged (cold) and sometimes uncharged (cold). This means that the bodies were already oversized for the needs of each space. Therefore, by providing us with a constant water temperature in our bodies, it is possible for the installation to operate with both a lower power boiler and a low water temperature, thus achieving maximum economy.
8) Expansion tank and circulator have all models;
All M and MRT models have an expansion tank and a circulator. In case we wish, there are corresponding models such as MODULE that does not have an expansion tank and a circulator so that we can make our own choice or use the existing ones from the previous installation. We could make our choice, for example, for the circulator or because we have a difficult and burdensome installation (single pipe system, underfloor, umbrella system, etc.) when we need a circulator with increased pressure and in the expansion tank we have increased water volume in the installation therefore a larger container (than the unit) is required to meet the needs of the installation.
